So... I'm trying this blog thing again. I'm not sure I would consider myself a "blogging" type of person, but I noticed I talk to myself a lot. So I figured I'd take those ramblings and publish them somewhere that only my grandma will read.
About me:
Well, for the first time in my life, I can say I am truly happy. I teach 1st grade (which will allow for some amazing writing material) at a Classical Christian School. We here at the Coram Deo Academy pride ourselves on having the most adorable first grade, no thanks to me. My kids are amazing... no really... I'm not just being a proud teacher. Do you know where the tarsus is on a bird... yeah.. didn't think so. THEY DO! Also, they can tell you what sanguinvorous means... uh huh... yes... they are that cool. They are also hysterically funny.
I love where I am in life.
As I sit here in my empty classroom (kids are at P.E.), I pause a moment to set aside my OCD for this afternoon's adventure. We have been working on "How To" paragraphs this week. For thier final activity, they had to write "How To Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich". They are going to trade papers and follow that person's instructions EXACTLY. I can tell you from reading over their final copies, only 2 of my 5 (yes... I only have 5 students in my class this year) wrote anything about using a knife. Peanut butter may end up in interesting places.
There will be many pictures and many memories.
