Kicked Out

Well... life has been busy.  I thought everything was going well.  School had kicked into full gear and my life was falling into a happy little routine.  Monday- BSF, Tuesday-Small Group, Wednesday-Dinner with Marcus, Thursday-Choir, weekend, repeat.

I was getting used to a good school schedule.  Lesson planning was going well, the kids were starting to catch on... life was great.

Then... October 3, 2011.  My roommate decided she wanted to live alone and gave me until the end of the month to leave.  I could have stayed with her until the end of the month, but let's face it, who wants to live with someone that asked them to move out.  That and all my weekends in October surround Purdue Football.  Things got tense and awkward real fast and so I took that Wednesday off of work and moved out.  A huge thanks to those who helped.  I cancelled my rent check and when she got home from work I was gone.

Life has been a little crazy since then.  I moved all my stuff back in with mom and dad.  I can't find most of my stuff.  The bar in the closet that held 1/3 of my clothes fell down.  I can only successfully find 4 pairs of shoes.  My coats and scarves are packed up.  All my kitchen stuff in thrown into boxes and I have to rely on what mom and dad have when I want to cook/bake.  Thank goodness my KitchenAid mixer is massive and didn't fit in box.  I know where that is.

Plus side you ask?  Well after the initial shock of rejection wore off, I started thinking.  I get to sleep in a queen bed.  Free.  I love being around people again.  My parents aren't going to kick me out.  My parents are actually pretty cool.  DVR, heck TV.  Internet.

I plan on moving in with a great friend from small group.  She might be buying a house, which would be super awesome.  I enjoy her company and she has kitties just like mine.  I can't wait for my life to be settled again.

I also feel like I have no time for friends.  I may have over committed myself for this year.  Oh well, sometimes it's nice to get out and actually have a life.

Pop quiz on the geography of Egypt is almost over.  Yes, my kids are that cool.  They know the geography of Egypt in the 1st and 2nd grade.
